Saying Goodbye to the City of Fort Worth

This is a bittersweet post - today is my last day with the City of Fort Worth. It’s always hard to say goodbye to a job you love. Working for my hometown has been a career highlight, and I will greatly miss seeing my remarkably talented, dedicated, and brilliant colleagues every day.  We continue to be the fastest-growing large city in the country, but more importantly, Fort Worth is a wonderful city in which to live, work and visit.

Starting tomorrow, I will be joining the team at the Rainwater Charitable Foundation (just a few blocks away) focusing on supporting education in our community. I am excited for a new challenge and grateful for the next chapter.

Special thanks to Mayor Mattie Parker for hiring me, City Managers David Cooke and Jay Chapa for teaching me so much about good governance, my wife Rachael C. Capua, Ed.D. for her unconditional support, and the 7500 employees at the City of Fort Worth for their friendship over the last 3.5 years.
