What Fort Worth Leaders Learned in Bozeman

When the Fort Worth Forum chose Bozeman, Montana for our inaugural Seminar trip, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Why were so many people moving there? We quickly found out why.

The City of Bozeman is one of the most down-to-Earth, beautiful, and vibrant cities I’ve ever visited, and Yellowstone National Park was an almost spiritual experience. Special thanks to Mayor Terry Cunningham, City Manager Chuck Winn, Bonnie Sachatello-Sawyer, Matt Parsons, Ash Tallmadge, Susan Denson-Guy (Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture), and Dr. Walter Fleming for their hospitality.

We learned so much about their approach to protecting green space, the importance of preserving indigenous culture (and my first smudging ceremony), and the power of empathy through leadership. If you need a great outdoor getaway, this is the place to visit.
